An independent voice for a market that deserves one.
The Publishers was founded because Switzerland has no independent, privately owned media house for the pharmacy professions. The existing specialist titles are published by professional associations. They are dense with information but rarely inspiring — and they reach only a fraction of the professionals who might be interested.
We believe that pharmacists and pharmacy technicians deserve better media: media that combine professional expertise with entrepreneurial thinking, that look contemporary and that speak to their readers as equals.
Our approach is editorially independent, thematically focused and grounded in the reality of everyday pharmacy practice in Switzerland.

The sector is changing. And right now there is no platform accompanying that change.
The OTC market is growing
Over-the-counter medicines are the most commercially attractive segment that the bricks-and-mortar pharmacy can defend against mail order and drugstores. Counselling expertise is what makes the difference — and it needs a medium.
A new generation of pharmacists
Generations Y and Z in pharmacies are looking for different formats: more visual, more digital, on equal terms. The specialist media of the previous generation barely reach them.
The industry is looking for quality
OTC manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies are investing in advertising platforms close to their target group — and the supply of high-quality, independent Swiss pharmacy media is vanishingly small.
A gap in the market with no competition
In Germany, DAV Medien is a strong independent publishing house for pharmacists. Switzerland has no equivalent. That is the gap we are filling.
